veltez AI is designed to integrate WooCommerce stores with external AI services such as OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), and Google Gemini. To use AI features, you must provide your own API key from a supported AI provider. By enabling these features, you agree to the terms, policies, and conditions of the respective third-party service.

By using veltez AI, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • veltez AI acts as an integration layer between your website and external AI services. It does not control or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of AI-generated responses.
  • AI-generated content may occasionally be incorrect, incomplete, or misleading. You are solely responsible for reviewing, moderating, and validating all responses before relying on them for business or customer interactions.
  • Product recommendations are based on available WooCommerce data and AI interpretation. While efforts are made to ensure relevance, results are not guaranteed to be accurate or suitable in all cases.
  • You are responsible for how the plugin is used on your website, including handling misuse, user-generated content, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations (such as privacy and data protection laws).
  • Any data sent to AI providers (such as user messages or product context) is processed by those providers under their own privacy policies. veltez AI does not control how third-party services store or use that data.
  • veltez AI and its developers shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from:
    • Use of the plugin
    • AI-generated responses
    • Service interruptions or API failures
    • Incorrect or incomplete recommendations
  • AI functionality depends on third-party APIs. Availability, performance, and pricing are determined by those providers and may change at any time.

Overview

veltez AI is a WordPress plugin that integrates with WooCommerce and external AI providers to deliver chatbot-based customer assistance, product recommendations, and automated responses.

The plugin operates within your WordPress website and interacts with third-party APIs to generate responses. It supports multiple AI providers including OpenAI, Claude (Anthropic), and Google Gemini, and is designed to help customers find products, get instant answers, and increase conversions.

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the veltez AI WordPress plugin ("Plugin", "Service", "we", "us", or "our").

License

veltez AI is distributed under the GNU General Public License (GPL v2 or later).

You are free to:

  • Use the plugin on any number of websites
  • Modify the source code
  • Distribute unmodified copies

You must not:

  • Misrepresent the plugin as your own original work

Third-Party Services

This plugin requires integration with external AI providers. Depending on your configuration, data may be sent to:

When using these services:

  • Your data is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies
  • We do not control or take responsibility for how these providers process data
  • You are responsible for reviewing and complying with their policies

The Developer is not affiliated with OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google. API costs are your sole responsibility.

Section 4

Data Handling

veltez AI processes and stores limited data to function properly.

Stored locally (in your WordPress site)

  • Chat logs — session ID, IP, customer name, messages, timestamps ({prefix}aiwoo_chat_logs)
  • Enquiries — name, email, phone, message (aiwoo_enquiry custom post type)
  • Configuration settings — stored in WordPress options
  • Quick reply rules — keywords and responses ({prefix}aiwoo_quick_replies)
  • AI error logs — provider errors, context, IP ({prefix}aiwoo_ai_error_logs)

Not stored by us

  • Payment information
  • API keys in frontend output
  • Sensitive personal data beyond what you collect

Data sent externally

Customer chat messages, conversation history (up to 4 turns), and relevant product data are transmitted to your chosen AI provider to generate responses. API keys are stored securely on the server and are never sent to the browser.

Browser-side data

Chat state and browsing history (when personalisation is enabled) are stored in sessionStorage. This data is cleared when the session ends and is never sent to the Developer.

You are responsible for:

  • Informing your users about data processing
  • Complying with applicable privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the plugin for:

  • Illegal, harmful, or abusive activities
  • Generating misleading or fraudulent content
  • Websites containing unlawful or offensive material
  • Processing data in violation of applicable privacy or data protection laws
  • Attempting unauthorised access to any system through the Software
  • Abusing or overloading third-party AI provider services (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google)
  • Circumventing security features or rate-limiting mechanisms

We reserve the right to restrict usage if misuse is detected.

AI Limitations

veltez AI relies on third-party AI systems. Therefore:

  • Responses may not always be accurate
  • The plugin may generate incomplete or incorrect suggestions
  • You should not rely on AI output for critical decisions

You are responsible for reviewing and validating AI-generated content before acting on it.

Availability

We do not guarantee:

  • Continuous availability of the plugin
  • Uninterrupted access to AI providers
  • Error-free operation

Service may be affected by:

  • API outages from third-party providers
  • Hosting issues on your server
  • WordPress or WooCommerce updates

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, veltez AI and its developers shall not be liable for:

  • Any direct or indirect damages
  • Loss of revenue, data, or business opportunities
  • Issues caused by third-party AI providers

The plugin is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.
